Eichstrasse 22 Erdgeschoss (Hanover, Germany)
I left the flat just before 11:00 this morning. Since the place was so small it was easy to clean and get myself ready. I rolled my suitcase to the station and waited on the platform for the train.
I still find it amazing how so many people can efficiently get off and on a train at a busy station in such a short period of time. It helps that most stations show where your carriage or wagon is located on the specific train so you know where to stand on the platform. Thankfully the machine, when I purchased by ticket yesterday, recommended that I purchase a reserved seat, which I did. As it turned out a number of people had to stand.
The trip when along well. Having an aisle seat allows me to conveniently get up every so often to stretch. There was a group of guys, wearing their team shirts, drinking beer and talking loudly for most of the trip. They got off at Dortmund, most likely to attend a game. I’m sure they each drank 4 – 6 beers while sitting there.
When I got to the Dusseldorf station I ordered an Uber who dropped me off at the Hilton. I have a room on the 10th floor and a nice view of the city. I had a quick snack in the executive lounge then returned to my room for a nap.
After getting settled I walked to a nearby grocery and bought a few things to eat and returned to my room where I watched another Star Trek movie. I only have one left to watch and will need to find something else after tomorrow night.
Not sure what I’ll do tomorrow. I’ll figure that out after I wake up like I usually do.
