8 Avenue du Pont Juvénal (Montpellier, France)
Today is my last day in Montpellier. About this time, near the end of my stay, I reflect and ask if I should have planned to stay longer. As usual, I’m ready for my next stop and have no regrets about leaving after being here six nights.
The weather has been fantastic for the past few days and after I get a load of wash hung to dry in the sun room I plan to go for a walk. (Yes, this flat has a sun room!)
My new grater has been working out well and enjoying my hash browns and eggs every morning since I bought the grater. My breakfast is a good motivator for getting out of bed in the morning. Along with a cup of strong coffee.
The washer in the flat has a 15 minute cycle that I used but ran the load for another 15 minutes to make sure the soap was rinsed out of the clothes. Other washers have a 30 minute cycle which I prefer. I don’t need all of the fancy settings that most washers have.
Today I walked up to Place de la Comedie and through the nearby park where I stopped and rested to soak up the local ambiance. I made a quick stop into Monoprix to pick up a few items since the stores will be closed tomorrow for the holiday (May 1st).
After I returned to the flat I researched some airfares for Paula and ordered replacement walking shoes for me. The tread on my walking shoes is wearing out and holes are beginning to open on each of shoes around the outer toe area. I looked at different brands but I’ve been so happy with these Merrell shoes I’ll just order another pair. I’ll have them delivered to my niece and she’ll bring them with her when she meets me in Paris.
Tomorrow I’ll wake early to get the flat cleaned and finish packing for my trip to Toulouse. I’m going to miss the nice flat here, with the amazing kitchen, especially when I check into my studio flat in Toulouse. I’m only staying a few days and there is no need to find a place that is too comfortable. A studio will be fine.
