Stockholm, Sweden (Götgatan 78)

Another hot day in Stockholm. The forecast shows one more day in the high 80’s then will be in the 70’s for the next few days while in Stockholm. (Leaving for Oslo on Tuesday, 7 August.)

It wasn’t until 3:00 when I left the flat today. If I open windows at the right time and pull drapes when the sun comes through the windows in the morning, the flat is tolerable for most of the day.

Today I walked around the neighborhood and visited a church then bought a few items at a local Coop grocery store. Mostly apartments around where I’m staying and a few businesses. The Ericsson Globe, the world’s largest spherical building, and is home to Sweden’s national hockey area is nearby. It hosts other events and concerts, and is visible from most places in Stockholm. I’ll have to add a picture of it to my picture file.

When I returned after my walk I was physically drained and soaked with perspiration. I stopped at a MacDonald’s and ordered a Big Mac while I was walking around so I didn’t need to fix dinner. I just wanted to take a shower and a nap.

After working on a blog entry, I continued to watch the Netflix show “The Flash” based on the comic book hero. It’s an easy show to watch. Thankfully it cools down at night and I can sleep well.

Tomorrow, since it will be cooler, I plan to walk into the old town and look around. And perhaps schedule a Segway tour as well.
