Sofia, Bulgaria (Sveti Naum Street)
My top priority today was to make sure that I could arrange for a taxi to pick me up at 3:00 a.m. tomorrow morning for a ride to the airport to catch my 6:10 a.m. flight. I had read that getting through the Sofia airport might be a bit slow so may need all three hours (standard pre-flight time needed for boarding international flights). I’d rather sit around waiting than rush through an airport and risk missing a flight.
My Airbnb host said she could make the booking for me and she confirmed later that I’m all set for tomorrow morning for a 3:00 a.m. taxi pickup. Good!
I also used part of the day to get as much sleep as I could, knowing that I’ll need to wake at 2:00 a.m. to be ready for the taxi. I also allocated time to organize my suitcase and carry-on bag.
When I booked my ticket to fly from Sofia to Larnaca, Cypress I paid a little extra to increase the weight limit on my suitcase from 23 kg to 32 kg, which also included priority boarding, and extra leg room. The fare was a good deal, so used the savings for a slight upgrade.
Other than that, in the evening I watched several episodes of The Expanse on Netflix as I got organized. I used up most of the food that I had purchased and packed the extra into the suitcase that I’ll check. I’ll be in Cypress for 9 days, so will definitely use the leftover lemons, onions, coffee, and sugar.
Felt good to get organized again. Before I went to bed I knew that getting ready for the flight tomorrow would be easy. This will be my forth time to Cyprus and I’ll stay in the same flat as before. (I see a pattern developing.)
