Larnaca, Cyprus (Nicolaides Sea View City)
Last night, or better said, it was early this morning around 3:00 a.m., I booked a hotel in Barcelona. Several nights of poor sleep thinking about my upcoming visits to Spain, Morocco, and Portugal. I really haven’t done much planning and was waiting for the “perfect moment” to make reservations. Guess 3:00 a.m. was the time to do some planning.
Later in the day I texted Paula to see if she would be open to my visiting her in Frederick, Maryland on my way to Oregon. She said she would love to see me, so now to make plans to go from London to Washington D.C. I found a credit card that gives me 60,000 miles if I charge $3,000 within 3 months, so I think my trip from Washington D.C. to Oregon will be paid for with these miles. Also a return flight from Portland to New York City as well.
This afternoon I took a walk in the direction of the harbor and looked at the various small shops along the way. No big stores here, at least in the central part of the city. Just many small shops, restaurants, pubs, etc. Perfect walking weather! Temperature is around 70°F.
In the evening, for some reason, my Netflix would not work with my Apple TV. So I used my iPad to broadcast to the TV. At one place in Edinburgh, I was able to take a YouTube video and broadcast to the TV from my Samsung phone. Though, being in Cyprus, I can’t view BBC from the iPlayer application. I’ll catch up when I return to London mid-March.
Tomorrow I make final plans to get to the airport (4:00 a.m.!) and prepare to pack for my visit to Spain. Looking forward to sampling the local cuisine.
