Edinburgh, Scotland (1 Belgrave Place)
After a late breakfast, Prean and Viktor set off to hike up Arthur’s Seat while I got ready for Csabi’s visit. I didn’t sleep well the night before so I took a 2 hour nap while the flat was quiet.
I hadn’t seen Csabi since I visited him in August in the Lake District. His temporary assignment was finished and he asked if he could visit me before he returned to Hungary. I didn’t plan on renting a two bedroom flat, but found this place (1 Belgrave Place) on Airbnb and was surprised that it was listed for about the same price as a one bedroom place. It has two bathrooms as well.
When I got to the train station, I looked for a train that was to arrive at 15:35, which was the time that Csabi sent me. It was on Platform 10 according to the Arrival Board. As it turned out, his train came in on another Platform and I got a text from him asking where I was. An attendant on a nearby platform showed me where to find Csabi.
As I was walking to where he was waiting, there was Prean and Viktor! We were all surprised since they hadn’t planned to meet up with us and had no idea when Csabi’s train would arrive. As I greeted them, I saw Csabi with his bags. Quite a coincidence that we all happend to be together at the same place.
We packed ourselves into a taxi and headed back to the flat. The three of them talked while I finished a dinner for us. So here we were, a South African, a Russian, a Hungarian, and an American – all having a great time together.
Tomorrow, Prean and Viktor will leave for London and I will show Csabi Edinburgh.
