Edinburgh, Scotland (1 Belgrave Place)
Today’s destination was Calton Hill, a hill in central Edinburgh with great views of the city and home to several monuments. After a light breakfast we walked down Queen Street towards the hill and stopped off at the National Portrait Gallery for tea and a quick bite.

We continued our walk to the hill and walked up the pathway around the hill to the top. Great views of the city! Prean and Viktor climbed up the Nelson Monument and got an even better view from there. The commemorative monument, in the shape of a hand-held telescope, was built not too long after the Battle of Trafalgar (1805) where Admiral Nelson was killed during the battle.

After walking around the hill we made our way back to Stockbridge. Prean was looking forward to walking around Stockbridge some more while Viktor and I kept warm drinking coffee in a Costa Coffee. Prean joined us later and we walked back to the flat to rest. Prean had a great time visiting some of the small shops in Stockbridge.
While Prean was sleeping, Viktor and I ate dinner and watched a movie. Prean woke up just before the end of the movie and we watched the last half of Graham Norton. Guess we were all tired and called it a day.
Tomorrow we’re planning to walk down to Dean Village, then to the Royal Botanic Garden.
