Daily Journal: Friday, 17 February 2017

Still cold outside. We must be in the doldrums of February where the handoff between winter and spring has yet to happen. No sign of the ice in the marina melting and a hat and a pair of gloves are still required when going for a walk.

Back to the gym today and enjoyed working out again. My teeth are happy with no residual pain from the cleanings over the last couple of days. All is well.

Was on the phone with various people from the U.S. regarding my cousin’s life insurance policy and some stock that will be donated to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. It was an interesting and productive afternoon and enjoyed talking with some very helpful people who explained how the donations can be made. I shared this information with our attorney who will confirm next steps in the process.

Csabi came over for some coffee at 5:00 and we talked for a couple of hours. On his way back to his place, I asked if he could stop in at the local marina store and help me buy the correct type of bottled water. My last purchase ended up to be “natural” water which tasted like something from a well. I just wanted plain bottled water for making coffee and tea. The Budapest tap water is okay for drinking – though has been heavily treated.

After I got back to my place and finished up the email to our attorney, it was nearly 9:00 and I hadn’t had dinner. Ate dinner (baked chicken) and watched more Next Generation (TNG) before heading to bed.

Update…

I’ve been awake since 2:00 a.m. (it is now 4:00 a.m.) and now caught up with the news and finished this daily blog update. Now I’ll get some more sleep and see if the forecast for sunshine will hold true for the morning. Tomorrow’s breakfast will be plain greek yogurt with chia seeds, raspberries and blueberries. Also two pieces of toast, from local bread, with peanut butter. I’ve been drinking “golden milk” (with turmeric) after breakfast. (My version of Golden Milk is simple: Almond Milk, turmeric 1/2 tsp, and one sugar cube.)
