Looks like Budapest will be getting some sunshine for the next few days. I’ll look forward to getting out for more walks and being involved in some activities while in Budapest. I will be here until 12 March, then return by the first of April.

(Temperature is in Celsius.)

Got a late start this morning. The neighbors in the upstairs apartment decided to have company until the wee hours of the morning. Good that I’m retired and don’t have to get up early for work. I’ve been in this place for over a week and this is the first time I’ve been kept awake.

Though up late, I was at the gym by 1:00 p.m. Not very many people there – perhaps they were out enjoying the sunshine. I feel so much better being able to get in a workout each day. Everyday I try to add something new to my routine or add more weight or another set as possible.

Made my daily pilgrimage to the grocery store. Needed more dishwasher “pills”, paper towels, bread, butter, and bay leaves. I also stopped by the Vodafone store to confirm the amount of data and voice I have available.

Had a good conversation with my cousin Donna this afternoon. We talk every couple of weeks, but more so since the passing of her brother, Bobby. I submitted his obituary earlier today to the Hood River News.

Tonight I’m having the leftover “paprika chicken” sauce over some gnocchi, a beef hamburger patty with swiss cheese, and brussels spouts.

  1. Not sure if you’re going to see a report of my going to the public baths – unless my friend, Csabi, gets me to go. I was in Iceland’s Blue Lagoon and thought it was nice, but only went because I heard how great it was. I was at the Central Market last August and will get back there again while here – an amazing place. Guess I’ve been a homebody since I got here last week – so nice to hang out with the local people and live the life of a Budapest resident and chowing down on Paprika Chicken – yum!
