Daily Journal: 11 November 2016 (Friday)

Well, it finally got down to 32 F / O C last night, so glad I had the boiler on all night. The bathroom never heats up, so trips to the bathroom are brief and showers are a real eye-opener once I step out of the warm shower enclosure. I’m now wearing my winter coat when I leave to go out. My winter coat is very light-weight and excellent in keeping me warm.

I didn’t get much sleep last night. Really has been hit and miss this week. Good that I don’t have a job to go to since I use the early morning hours to catch up on sleep I didn’t get the night before. (Maybe this is common with retired folk?)

Managed to make it to the gym today. Now back home and making dinner (Pork chops, brown rice, and Brussels sprouts again).

Keeping an eye on the weather. Forecast shows a number of days next week that will start off with temperatures that are below freezing for several days. Just a little bit of moisture and then the magic happens. (Snow!)

Cheers!

  1. I do not know if it is retirement or just aging that causes sleep issues but I can empathize with you. I guess I can’t feel like the Lone Ranger when it comes to that, but at 2am when I’m wide awake it feels like no one else gets it.
