Daily Journal: 9 November 2016 (Wednesday)

Feeling a little nostalgic and almost wanting to be back home to participate in the healing process, be part of the government transition and connect with family and friends. It was a passing feeling and I’ll continue on this path (traveling) and offer support where I can.

While being in a nostalgic mood, I happened to remember that it was my maternal grandmother’s birthday today. If she were alive today, she would be 110. During her life she saw much change during the 20th century, including moving from rural western Pennsylvania to a remote part of Oregon south of The Dalles in 1908. I remember my grandmother as being loving, forgiving, and very patient. Perhaps these are the qualities that I need to develop further at this time. I also saw something on Facebook, and it read: “The right wing and the left wing are connected to the same bird.”

I’m sure most people in the U.S. stayed up late last night waiting for the returns. For me, I was up almost all night given the time difference. Managed to get to the gym this afternoon and will rest before meeting up with my InterNations group for a ping-pong tournament.

All is well!
